Stunning Centerpieces for Thanksgiving

Stunning Centerpieces for Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving sometimes feels like the neglected holiday that’s squeezed in between Halloween and Christmas.  Black Friday sales get a lot more publicity than the day that comes before!  It’s a shame that Thanksgiving tends to get overlooked, because it might just be the day we need the most, especially in a contentious year like this one.  No matter how hectic life, work, and our world tend to become, we should all relish the opportunity to stop, relax, and indulge ourselves with food and the company of loved ones.

If you are hosting friends and family for Thanksgiving this year, you know that setting the table plays a big part of the planning!  To help you create a beautiful setting for your loved ones, here are six stunning centerpieces for Thanksgiving for you to consider.

Gilded Fruit

Shimmery, metallic fruit will never spoil when you add gilding to artificial fruit.  Country Living gives you the how-to in this post, but if you’re not crafty then you can find beautiful ready to purchase gilded fruit on sites like Ballard Designs.

Real Fruit

If you’re trying to maintain a more natural look for your tablescape, instead of gilded fruit, why not opt for real fruit?  In this beautiful centerpiece from Peartree Flowers, pomegranate branches are cut so that the opulent fruit rests on the rim of the vase.  The fruit laden sprigs are accented with real leaf cuttings.

Bright and Bold

Bring a burst of color to the table by choosing brightly hued, smile inducing flowers.  This arrangement from UrbanStemsfeatures bright orange, peach, and yellow hues.  This bouquet is a beautiful mix of orange roses, apricot mums, and peach rosehips.

Metallics with Natural Accents

Combine metallic candleholders and vases with pumpkins and frosted pinecones to create a setting that is peaceful, elegant, and soothing.   This beautiful table from Little Peanut Mag features items from Pottery Barn.

Pair pastels and light greens with rustic wood boxes to create a sweet, shabby chic centerpiece.  This lovely centerpiece from FTD Fresh has, among other flowers, dahlias, sea flowers, Queen Anne’s lace flower, and sedum.

Go Wild

Maybe traditional isn’t your thing, and you want your Thanksgiving to festivities to celebrate your free spirit! Birds of Paradise are an unexpected way to keep the traditional orange color used with Thanksgiving decorating. In this arrangement from Casas Adobes Flower Shop, anthurium, protea, and dendrobium orchids complement the birds of paradise flowers to create an island inspired centerpiece.

Hopefully you will find the perfect option from these stunning centerpieces for Thanksgiving.  We wish you a day filled with joy and happiness this holiday!
